Information Technology and Publication
(IT-P) Committee
The Information technology and publication Prefects was first introduced to the MP's and Prefects system in March 2008. The first batch of IT-P prefects 2008/2009 consisted of 12 members. 6 Boys & 6 Girls whom each and every one have the knowledge and experience in Computing, Media and Publication.The IT-P prefects of 09/10, the second batch, consisted of 6 members, 3 Boys & 3 Girls and he third batch of IT-P prefects of 10/11 consisted of 7 members, 3 boys & 4 girls.
The New IT-P prefects of 2011/2012 consist of 7 members.5 boys and 2 girls. This year, in collaboration with IT-P prefects,The
Student Affairs have introduced the branch of Prefect of Photography to the system.
Our main duties or responsibilities are as follows:
• Prepare Backdrops and Powerpoint slides for every school event and control the slides.
• Producing Slideshow Videos
• In charge of the Over-head Projectors and Screen in the Auditorium
• Create a website for the prefects. (MD E-board)
• Create a newsletter / bulletin.( E-News)
• To take Pictures on every Event. (Photography)
• Help other commitees in any other event that involves computers and Audio system.
• Observe and advice those students who are breaking the rules in the ICT labs.
• Check the equipments that are in the ICT lab. E.g. OHP, Mac books, Desktop PC.
• AOB.

The directors of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) would talk about the study opportunities in Germany during the program as well as the Brunei students who participated in the Institute.

Maktab Duli Sends Teachers, Students To Singapore's Raffles Institution

Bandar Seri Begawan - The second cycle of a school-twinning programme that exists between Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah and Singapore's Raffles Institution began on January 17 and will end on January 24. The second batch comprises three teachers and nine students.
Maktab Duli's first visit to the Raffles Institution was an exploratory event where Maktab Duli initiated the twinning programme by sending one teacher and six students for one week in August 2006.
The following year, Raffles Institution sent two teachers and 20 students comprising ten boys and ten girls for a one-week visit.
The 2010 team aims to discover new learning opportunities in as many academic fields as possible as well as to strengthen current ties and foster new relationships.
On Wednesday, the 13th of January of 2010, we held an event of a Corruption Talk in the afternoon. The guess speker was from the Anti Corruption Bureau and had done well presenting. Its quiz time! :) Students were ask to go up the stage and answer some quizes. The students and teachers that attended the talk: Questions and Answers session:

Cikgu Hajah Amal presented the guess speaker the school's gift as an appreciation.
On the student's way out of the Auditorium, they were given a student planner each by the Anti Corruption Bureau as gifts for attending the talk.
The prefects that were on duty that day stayed till the event is done. Great job guys. :)
Monday, 11th January of 2010, the first general assembly was held in the auditorium of MDPMAMB at 10am until 11am.
The ceremony was started by singing the national anthem and the college's song led by the choir club. Then the presentations started. The presentations consist of the top 2 of the "Planning For Real - Keriam Housing Competition", that is the groups of Synergy (led by Syazwi Shahif) and the KNK (led by Fakhrul Ruslan).
After those presentation, Cikgu Affendy came up the stage and explained the school rules and regulations to the Upper Six students including where the new drop offs for the student in the morning, items which are allowed and not allowed in school and much more.
Then came up the YDP, Muhd Amirul Syafiq and the rest of Majlis Pelajar to recite the school's pledge. Then that ends the ceremony but the boy students were asked to wait in the foyer while the girls were to remained in the auditorium for another talks (girls talk led by cikgu Faridah while the boys had their talks led by cigku Affendy)
The first spotcheck of the year was held too.

We, the IT-P Prefects would like to apologize to everyone, especially to Synergy, KNK , Cigku Faridah and the Admin teachers for the technical difficulties we had during the event. We promise to do better in the near future. We hope you would still have faith in us to do better for our wonderful school.

Today, Thursday (07.01.10), we had our first event of the year in the Auditorium to celebrate the new year of Hijrah.
All the muslim students of Maktab Duli were asked to attend this event that was held at 2pm till 3pm today to listen to our guess speaker, Ustazah Hjh Rogayah binti Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Wahid. The talk was mainly about how to be healthy and how to take care of ourselves religiously.

Untuk makluman semua ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar larangan membawa telefon bimbit kesekolah ini adalah dibuat berdasarkan pengalaman dan dapatan-dapatan di sekolah-sekolah bahawa telfon bimbit banyak menimbulkan masalah/keburukan.
Untuk makluman, para pelajar masih boleh menggunakan telefon yang disediakan oleh pihak TelBru yang ada di sekolah ini untuk menghubungi ibu bapa / penjaga mereka.
Sila ambil maklum bahawa para pelajar yang didapati melanggar larangan ini, pihak sekolah akan mengambil tindakan berikut:
a. KESALAHAN PERTAMA Telefon bimbit tersebut akan ditahan oleh pihak sekolah. Ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan dikehendaki mengambil telefon tersebut dengan segera. Pelajar dan ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan akan menandatangani surat perjanjian supaya tidak melakukan kesalahan yang sama.
b. KESALAHAN KEDUA Telefon bimbit tersebut akan ditahan selama 1 bulan. Ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan bolehlah mengambil mengambil telefon bimbit tersebut selepas 30 hari. Pelajar dan ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan akan menandatangi surat perjanjian bagi peringatan yang kedua.
c. KESALAH KETIGA Telefon bimbit tersebut akan ditahan selama 3 bulan atau lebih. Ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan bolehlah mengambil mengambil telefon bimbit tersebut setelah genap tempohnya. Ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar berkenaan akan menandatangi surat perjanjian bagi peringatan yang ketiga, iaitu di Bahagian Menengah, Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah.
Pihak sekolah sangat menghargai sokongan, bantuan dan kerjasama semua ibu bapa / penjaga pelajar untuk memastikan supaya larangan ini dipenuhi demi kebaikan bersama dan kemajuan anak-anak abiskita.
Yuran Maktab Dan Bayaran "Post Diary" Pelajar Enam Atas 2010
Dengan hormat sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa pembayaran bagi perkara di atas adalah seperti berikut:
Yuran / school fund = $20.00
Post Diary = $6.00
JUMLAH = $26.00
Bayaran tersebut akan dikutip mulai hari Isnin hingga Rabu (11-13 Januari 2010). Yuran tersebut hendaklah diserahkan kepada Guru Kumpulan masing-masing.
Kerjasama ibu bapa / penjaga adalah diharapkan dan dihargai.
Since the school is still in renovation, we would like to inform you that the car park for the teachers is not longer there.
After the renovations are done, there will be a new parking space behind the Student Affairs office to replace the previous one and this is for the teachers of Maktab Duli only which means, students are not allowed to park there. Another space for the teachers would be situated in front of the Boys Hostels.
Meanwhile, for those students who have been given permission to drive to the college must park their cars in front of the girls hostel and the gymnasium only.
