Information Technology and Publication
(IT-P) Committee
The Information technology and publication Prefects was first introduced to the MP's and Prefects system in March 2008. The first batch of IT-P prefects 2008/2009 consisted of 12 members. 6 Boys & 6 Girls whom each and every one have the knowledge and experience in Computing, Media and Publication.The IT-P prefects of 09/10, the second batch, consisted of 6 members, 3 Boys & 3 Girls and he third batch of IT-P prefects of 10/11 consisted of 7 members, 3 boys & 4 girls.
The New IT-P prefects of 2011/2012 consist of 7 members.5 boys and 2 girls. This year, in collaboration with IT-P prefects,The
Student Affairs have introduced the branch of Prefect of Photography to the system.
Our main duties or responsibilities are as follows:
• Prepare Backdrops and Powerpoint slides for every school event and control the slides.
• Producing Slideshow Videos
• In charge of the Over-head Projectors and Screen in the Auditorium
• Create a website for the prefects. (MD E-board)
• Create a newsletter / bulletin.( E-News)
• To take Pictures on every Event. (Photography)
• Help other commitees in any other event that involves computers and Audio system.
• Observe and advice those students who are breaking the rules in the ICT labs.
• Check the equipments that are in the ICT lab. E.g. OHP, Mac books, Desktop PC.
• AOB.
To All Interested Students The Undergraduates Association of University Brunei Darussalam is inviting 20 students (10 male and 10 females) to be a part of the audience of the "CHALLENGE ME" program whereby the university students will be challenge by Primary 5 kids ('Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader' style)
The event will take place on Wednesday, 4th November 2009; 13:30 to 16:00
The student affairs section will be calling up volunteers to sign up for this event. (Make sure you have no exams on that day)
NEWLY ADDITION. To those who signed up for the event on the board. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the college bus is unavailable for that afternoon. However, if you still wish to attend, you are welcome to do so using your own transportation ( or with your friends with cars) at Dewan Serbaguna, Bangunan HEP, UBD.

NB: The representative will talk about competitive courses in the universities and how to write and effective personal statement. Please sign up the signup sheet on HEU noticeboard asap.
If you have any leftovers of the Hari Raya envelopes and greeting cards, can you please give it to the prefects? Its for the decorations on Friday and for the actual day (Saturday).
You can also just bring them on Friday and help out with the rest.

Who is required to attend?
Anyone who has helped in the success of the previous rounds of the competitionis a member of the organizing committee; debaters, chairpersons, timekeepers, scorekeepers, prefects, photographers and others.
All those mentioned above in addition to any who have helped in the smooth running but have not been mentioned are required to attend the meeting. Attendance is compulsory. The meeting is to compile a complete list of those who have helped with all their relevant details for the printing of the certificates of appreciation.

Date : 10TH October 2009 Day : Saturday Time : 9.30am onwards Venue : Dining Hall, Maktab Duli PMAMB
• Note that this event starts at 9.30am and there will be no lesson for block 5 and 4. • Bring your food and drinks, decorations for your BEs Houses table as there will be a competition on the most beautiful BE decoration. It includes how you welcome and serve the visitors (i.e. teachers). • Each BE group is allocated one table in Dining Hall. • All monitors of each BE will be incharge of their respective tables. • Winners will be judged according to the following mark scheme:
o Decorations – 30 marks
o Food and Drinks – 15 marks
o Cleanliness of the area allocated to each BE (during and after the events) – 20 marks
o Warm welcome to teachers – 15 marks
o Humbleness (including how you serve and socialize with the teachers) – 15 marks
o Bonus Mark – 5 marks
o Total Marks is 100
• Students can start decorating their respective BE tables during the final rehearsal on the 9th October 2009 (Friday) or early morning on the day itself (10th October). • Any enquiries, please do not hesitate to ask any member of the Student Council.
U6 Farewell Assembly and Briefing

Day/Date: Thursday, 8th October 2009. Time and Tutor Groups: AE1 - AE12 : 10.30am to 11.15am AE13 - AE24 : 11.15am to 12noon Venue: LT 12
The last day registration for the U6 is on Thursday 8th October 2009. There will be a farewell briefing on that day, from 10.30am-11.15am and 11.15am to 12noon depending on their Tutor Groups. Venue: LT 12.
They are to return their textbooks, locker keys, CCA equipment and pay up any outstanding fees by Saturday 21st November 2009, the day after they finished their BC GCE 'A' Level Exams.
Students are to check thoroughly their exam timetable to ensure that they do not miss any papers during the exam period as scheduled by the Examinations Department of Ministry of Education.

This year, the School Magazine Committee is giving all U6 students the opportunity to write a farewell greeting for teachers and peers in the school magazine. Hence, we seek your assistance to collect all the greetings latest by
Monday, 5th October 2009. Please place the collected greetings in my pigeon hole C4.
For the students' info, their greetings will be published next to their individual photos. Please inform all students that their greetings should not be more than 50 words and the magazine committee has the right to censor any unacceptable messages. Please also inform students to write clearly and also to write their names and their tutor group on the paper. Thank you for your cooperation.
